this is our first photoshoot, what should we know?

My best advice is to try to relax! I know how crazy photo sessions can feel- trying to get everyone ready, keeping kids (and dads!) happy, showing up on time, hoping everyone is engaged- it's a lot! Just know that I will lead you through the session, giving you poses but also stepping back and letting your family interact organically. This will give us photos that showcase your family as you are and that tell your story. We'll have fun and create beautiful photos, I promise.

What should we wear?

First and foremost, wear whatever you feel good in! I recommend starting with mom's outfit and going from there. It's best to coordinate instead of match, keep patterns to a minimum, and include layers and textures. Don' t forget small details like jewelry and shoes. You will also have access to our large client closet with pieces for just about everybody. I'm always happy to help with wardrobe, and I also offer full styling for a fee.

What happens if the weather is unfavourable for an outdoor shoot?

I will pay attention to the weather and radar and we will really try to keep the date. If the weather does end up making the date unusable, we will work together to find another date for your photo session.
